Portage Lakes Fireworks Sandcastle Building Contest. Portage Lakes State Park beach. Cash prizes to the top three sandcastle building teams. No power tools. Registration begins at 1:45 p.m. where you get a Tyvec number to place at your sandcastle. Contest goes from 2-3:30 with awards following. No entry fee.
Prize money: 1st: $200; 2nd: $100; 3rd: $50; 4th: $25
